About the event

Ask yourself:

  • Have you been wanting to get more involved with AFP NEWI, but aren’t sure how?
  • Would you like an opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by working on projects important to our industry?
  • Do you want to get more connected to non-profit and for-profit leaders and fellow fundraisers so you can enhance your professional network?

We can help! AFP NEWI is looking for new 2024 Board and Committee members!

AFP Northeast Wisconsin chapter is looking for new volunteers in the following areas:

  • Board of Directors membership (must be a current AFP member)
  • IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access) Committee (allows AFP members and non-members)
  • Youth in Philanthropy (allows AFP members and non-members)
  • National Philanthropy Day (allows AFP members and non-members)

Also, if you aren’t quite ready for the Board of Directors, or are still deciding whether or not to join AFP, committee membership is a great stepping stone!

If you want to learn more about each of these opportunities, we’re having a short Zoom info session on Thursday, September 7, at 8:30 a.m. Committee chairs will talk about what their committees do, the time commitment needed, and the help they need.

  • If you aren’t able to attend the September 7 info session but are still interested in learning more, please reach out to AFP Past-President Cara Gosse at and she’ll get you the info you need.
  • If you already know that you’d like to put your name forward for one of these opportunities, just send Cara a quick email letting her know what Board or Committee position you are interested in.

When you decide to get more involved and volunteer with AFP, you make more connections, find mentors and friends, and continue to learn and grow in your profession – we highly encourage you to lean in and volunteer!

More questions? Just reach out to Cara.
