Join us as Nancy Heykes leads us in a rich discussion focusing on AFP Code of Ethics and how it relates to our own work and organizations.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Managing donor data ethically
  • What should be reported to your donors, staff, and Board?
  • Should sensitive information be recorded in a donor database?
  • Should you research info about your donors via a public domain?
  • Communication with donors when the program they are funding may need to shift focus.
  • Ethical storytelling

About Our Speaker:

Nancy Heykes retired in 2018 as vice president of development for Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin, having previously served as an executive director, as capital campaign counsel and as a senior executive at Aid Association for Lutherans. She now lives in Oneida County (gratefully still within AFP-NE Wis Chapter territory) and formed On Point Consulting to continue her pro bono law practice and consulting, planning and facilitation services for nonprofits. She enjoys a continued teaching role as coordinator of the Nonprofit Leadership Institute in Appleton

CFRE Credits:

Full participation in this program is applicable for 1.5 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

Registration Fees:

$15 for AFP Northeast Wisconsin Chapter members; $25 for non-members

Registration deadline is October 24 for virtual participation.
